Detailed Process Piping
Challenge from the Client
Client wanted to see point-to point detailed piping on stick-built fermentors and support tanks. This required many iterations of the design to meet the clients changing requirements as their business drivers evolved. The compact building required over 15,000 linear feet of piping.
Our Approach & Solution
The IPS team created a model that was nearly fabrication level for the mechanical contractor to follow. We conducted multiple review sessions with the client to help their design requirements be incorporated into the final design.
The Results
The client was impressed with the design of the process piping on the incredibly complex systems. The mechanical contractor stated they have never received more detailed piping models to work from. This supported the construction phase as our client had reviewed all the lines and approved the design.
