Challenge from the Client
Attain an estimate for an aseptic spray drying and filling facility utilizing single-use technology. Product quantities are 5,000 x 2mL vials per batch in aqueous and non-aqueous solution.
Our Approach & Solution
Utilizing IPS’ Inceptioneering process and expertise in aseptic manufacturing, IPS applied the newest in aseptic spray drying technology for APIs for formulation and filling. The layout incorporated iCON solutions as well as modular alternatives for owner consideration related to cost and project schedule.
The Results
An efficient layout that allows adequate space for flows of equipment, material, and personnel, while simultaneously keeping footprint compact to control costs.
Some of the advantages of spray drying technology are – Continuous process, can be validated with the proper equipment, easy to replicate on a commercial scale, turns liquids into particles in seconds, can be used for heat sensitive materials.
