To develop a new, highly flexible, multiproduct, multicontainer, containment based, sterile manufacturing facility utilizing advanced facility of the future design concepts. Provide a world-class facility design which supports a sustainability goal of LEED Silver and is aesthetically pleasing to employees and the surrounding community.
Our Approach & Solution
The IPS design process was utilized to develop solutions utilizing a combination of interdisciplinary design workshops along with the application of design principles from the IPS sterile manufacturing Facility of the Future. The proposed 490,000 square foot facility utilizes a three-story design that included fully segregated and self-sufficient production modules capable of being isolated and retrofitted independently without affecting other adjacent production areas. The innovative exterior design was developed to respond to the functionality of the facility and to support the requirements for flexibility and sustainability.
The Results
A 30% design effort contributed to the development of a unique and highly flexible state of the art facility.
