This virtual showcase is on several disruptive technologies and innovations that regulators are now actively encouraging in the life science sector to assess and implement.

• A Disruptive Technology is one that displaces an established technology and shakes up the industry or a ground-breaking product that creates a completely new industry.  
• A Disruptive Innovation is the introduction of a product or service into an established industry that performs better and, generally, at a lower cost than existing offerings, thereby displacing the market leaders in that particular market space and transforming the industry.
